Phil’s hands have been covered in sawdust since the early 90s, and he wouldn’t have it any other way. To him, a door isn't just a way to get from the porch to the kitchen—it’s the hardest-working part of your home. If it doesn’t hang straight, swing smooth, and shut with that solid, dependable thud, it isn't a Phil door.
 

After three decades of working with every timber from local Pine to stubborn White Oak, Phil has a bit of a "sixth sense" for wood. He knows which slab will warp in the summer heat and which one will stand guard against a winter gale for the next fifty years. He’s not much for fancy sales pitches or "disrupting the industry"; he just believes in honest materials and joinery that lasts longer than the mortgage.

Phil’s philosophy is simple: Do it right the first time, treat the wood with respect, and always leave the shop cleaner than you found it.
